Two arrested after police seize meth, marijuana and heroin on near northwest side

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – Two people were arrested Friday after detectives found several grams of marijuana, methamphetamine and heroin in a home on the near northwest side.

Amanda Aten, 39, and Timothy Caplinger, 31, were both taken into custody without incident when officers served a search warrant in the 2900 block of West 33rd Street around 1 p.m.

During a search of the home, officers located and seized 50 grams of marijuana, 12 grams of methamphetamine, 1 gram of heroin, a pistol grip shotgun and $583 in cash.

Aten is facing preliminarily charges of possession of narcotics, possession of paraphernalia and maintaining a common nuisance.

Caplinger is facing preliminarily charges of dealing methamphetamine, possession of narcotics, possession of marijuana and possession of paraphernalia.
