Westfield Police searching for man who struck woman with a frying pan during armed robbery

WESTFIELD, Ind. — Westfield Police are still actively searching for a man they say hit a woman twice over the head with a frying pan.

According to a statement given by police, a parent left his home to pick up his child from sports practice around 8:15 on Friday night.  He left the house with the garage door open, and received a call from his wife around 8:23 p.m. stating a man entered the home demanding money.

The suspect had a handgun and struck the woman with a frying pan two times in the head before finally leaving the home. The woman’s injuries were not life threatening.

Police say the suspect is a white male in his early twenties, clean shaven with medium build and standing around 5’10”.  He was wearing dark sunglasses  and a blue hooded sweatshirt at the time of the attack.
