Police asking public to help identify suspects who stole from vehicles in downtown Indy

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – State police are asking for the public to help them identify two thieves who they believe broke into nine vehicles in downtown Indianapolis.

Police say the suspects stole credit cards from the vehicles parked in the Washington Street parking garage between 9 and 10 a.m. on Nov.  5.

The suspects then reportedly used those cards to make fraudulent purchases at a gas station and shoe store. The cards were also used on the same day to make purchases at the Lafayette Square Mall Foot Locker.

Surveillance cameras at the Speedway gas station at 3540 W. 30th Street captured video of the suspects arriving in an older silver four door passenger car and dark colored pickup.

If you recognize the vehicles or individuals in the photos, police ask that you contact Crime Stoppers at 317-262-TIPS (8477). Callers can remain anonymous.
