INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – We have our first look at the ticket for this year’s Indianapolis 500.

Alexander Rossi, last year’s winner, joined Hulman & Company President & CEO Mark Miles, IMS President Doug Boles and Cummins Inc. Chairman and CEO Tom Linebarger for the unveiling.

For the 100th running last year, IMS broke from tradition and offered a clear ticket. The ticket for the 101st running is more traditional. Boles described the ticket as a “collector’s item” and said it would include some foil elements and texturing that make it unique.

“I like it!” Rossi said when Boles asked him what he thought of the ticket. “I love it! I’m stoked!”

The tickets feature brick designs in the upper left and lower right corners that Boles said would “pop” thanks to the addition of foil. Rossi’s image on the ticket is also slightly raised, giving the ticket a 3-D look.

“You are in 3-D,” Boles said to Rossi Thursday. “We’re really excited about it. We think our fans are going to enjoy it.”

The race is 101 days away and Boles noted that today also marks 85 days away from the first practice in May.
