UPDATE: Police searching for Dodge Ram truck after 72-year-old man killed in hit-and-run crash

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – IMPD is investigating a hit-and-run crash that killed a 72-year-old man in a motorized chair.

Police say it happened in the 2500 block of West Morris Street on the city’s near southwest side Wednesday evening at around 7:30 p.m. Wednesday. The Marion County Coroner’s Office identified the victim as 72-year-old Roger Roska.

Officers say Roska was going west on Morris when the someone hit him.  Police believe the suspect was also driving in the same direction.

Roska was reportedly lying face down in a puddle when discovered. He was transported to the hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Police are looking for information from any possible witnesses who saw the incident.

The suspect drove off in an unknown direction. Police believe the suspect was driving a 1994-2002 Dodge Ram truck, but do not know the truck’s color at this time.

A second hit-and-run crash happened shortly after the first incident, just a few blocks away on West Morris Street. Police say a driver in a black Ford F-250 truck reportedly crossed the center line and hit another driver, leaving that person with slight injuries. The suspect then reportedly hit two other cars. Those drivers had slight injuries.

Police said the two hit-and-run crashes are not connected at this time.
