Winter arrives mild, while rain chances go up Friday! Snow chances remain…just in time for Christmas.

More great weather on tap for today with early sunshine, dry conditions, and temperatures running well above average through the afternoon. Our first day of “winter” will be a quiet, mild one…

Rain showers return early tomorrow (Friday) morning under a heavier blanket of clouds. Even with the rain and clouds, temperatures will climb into the 50’s before the stronger cold front moves through Saturday morning. All travel tomorrow should be fine locally…heavy volume but only wet roads! Rainfall totals should remain under 0.25″ for most spots…

Temperatures will be falling steadily through Saturday (from the 40’s to the 30’s), as rain may transition over to some flurries before ending altogether in the afternoon! At this point, no accumulation expected for Saturday travel. For the past 3 days, our most trusted computer model is still hinting at snowfall on Sunday afternoon and evening. Totals are still up in the air but accumulations of an inch or more are still in the mix. Regardless, confidence that at least some snow will fall on Christmas Eve and will carry through EARLY Christmas morning. How great would this be!?! No doubt, arctic air is coming and this will likely hold through the end of the month, to wrap up 2017!
