Officials ask for public’s help finding Indianapolis teen
Update: Shortly after posting this story, FOX59 received a message and call from a person who identified herself as the missing teen. We provided her with phone numbers to authorities and other resources. We are working to verify with police that the missing teen is safe. We have removed the name and photo of the teen.
INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. — The National Center for Missing & Exploited Children is asking for the public’s assistance in locating a missing Indianapolis teen who may still be in the area.
The teen was last seen over a year ago on January 8, 2017 in Indianapolis. She may still be in the area, or she may have attempted to travel to Milwaukee. She may be in the company of an adult male.
The 16-year-old girl is described as five feet four inches tall and weighs approximately 135 pounds. She has brown eyes and brown-colored hair; however, she may have dyed it. Also, she may be wearing glasses.
