A little before 2:00 a.m., IFD responded to reports of a working building fire near the 2000 block of West Washington Street. When authorities arrived, the vacant building was showing visible flames.   • Person stabbed on the near northeast side

    INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. — The Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department responded to reports of a person stabbed early Saturday morning on the near northeast side. Around 3:20 a.m., officers arrived on-scene near the 3700 block of Caroline Avenue to find a person stabbed. The condition of the victim is unknown at this time, and the investigation is ongoing.   • Police identify Greenwood woman killed in rollover crash on I-65

    INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – A south side crash on northbound I-65 killed a Greenwood woman Saturday night. State police say 51-year-old Traci McCracken died after being ejected from a 2006 Kia near Southport Road. Emergency crews were called to the scene just after 11 p.m. When they arrived, they found McCracken unresponsive. She was pronounced dead at the scene.   • Northeast side vacant home catches fire

    INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. — Early Sunday morning, the Indianapolis Fire Department responded to reports of a residence fire on the northeast side. At 3:52 a.m., IFD arrived at the 4000 block of Arthington Boulevard to a vacant residence on fire. They were alerted to the fire after a neighbor saw flames coming through the roof. The blaze resulted in an estimated $85,000 in damages. There were no injuries. Arson investigators will be looking into the cause of the fire.

    INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. — Saturday night police responded to two children struck by a car on the near northwest side. At 9:25 p.m., police arrived on-scene at the 1200 block of West 32nd Street to find two boys  struck by a car while on the sidewalk. The boys were 6-years-old and 8-years-old.   • Lawrence man injured in Sunday morning shooting

    LAWRENCE, Ind. — Early Sunday morning, Lawrence police were called in response to reports of a disturbance and shots fired. Upon arrival around 1:18 a.m., authorities found a 37-year-old male shot in the thigh at the Churchill Ranch Apartments. The man was alert and talking, and was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries. At this time, police don’t know the exact circumstances of the shooting.
