Kristin Kane shotKristin may be new to the Circle City, but she is no stranger to the Midwest. Kristin was born in St. Louis and grew up in Bloomfield Hills, Mich. She loves the four seasons, and she even enjoys the snow!

Kristin graduated early from a small performing arts high school in New York City and then went on to earn her bachelor’s degree in American History from Columbia University. While attending college, she interned for CBS and WCBS-TV.

Prior to moving to Indianapolis, Kristin was an anchor/reporter in Orlando at Central Florida News 13. She has also worked on-air at KRIV in Houston, WSFL in Miami,WICU in Erie, Pa., and behind the scenes at WCBS in NYC and News 12 Westchester in Yonkers, NY.

Some of Kristin’s most memorable moments in the business include anchoring notable stories from the George Zimmerman trial and NASA Shuttle Launches to numerous sinkholes and a bomb plot attack at the University of Central Florida in Orlando. In Houston, her “Alternative Ways of Worshipping” segment became a hit when her very first story, “Pole Dancing for Jesus”, went viral. And in Miami, no day was the same. Monday viewers may have seen her reporting on the breaking news from overnight, and Friday she might have entertained audiences with cocktail segments on the beach!

Kristin recently married her college sweetheart, Tom. The two live in Carmel with their Chihuahua/Pug, Chiquita. In their free time, they enjoy spending time with family and friends and they love to travel. At home, they enjoy going to the gym, roller blading, skiing, boating, hiking and playing tennis.

Currently, Kristin is a volunteer at Girls Inc. Indy, Gleaners Food Bank and the Indy Red Cross.
