Marisela Burgos

From “the Greatest Two Minutes in Sports” to “the Greatest Spectacle in Racing,” Marisela Burgos joined FOX 59 as a General Assignment News Reporter in May 2011.  She didn’t travel too far to move here.  She drove north on I-65 from Louisville, KY.

She covered a variety of stories for WAVE 3 News. She spent plenty of time covering stories in southern Indiana and got to know Hoosier hospitality.

While in Louisville, Marisela Burgos was nominated for an AP award for best investigative news story. Her most memorable moment was covering the Kentucky Derby at Churchill Downs.

She enjoys becoming a member of the community and telling people’s stories.

Marisela Burgos has also worked at a station in North Carolina (WNCT). She graduated from Florida International University with honors.  She was born in Puerto Rico and visits all the time.
