Bio

Zach MyersZach Myers joined the FOX59 News Team in May 2005 after spending the previous seven years at the NBC station in Fort Wayne.

After five years of reporting for FOX59 Morning News, Zach now anchors FOX59 Morning News Weekends.  He and Ron Smiley can be seen each Saturday and Sunday morning from 6am – 10am. He also reports during the week for FOX59 News First at Four and Live at Five.

Zach’s approach to broadcasting is simple:

“I take the story very seriously, without taking myself too seriously,” he says.

Zach lives in Greenwood with his wife, Heather George Myers, who is an attorney who focuses on Family Law and Business Law. Zach and Heather became proud parents to their first son, Thomas Alan Myers, who was born on St. Patrick’s Day 2011.

When he’s not working, Zach loves spending time with his family and playing music.  He is an accomplished drummer who’s been playing since age 10.  He also enjoys playing guitar, jogging and playing tennis.

Zach earned his Bachelor’s  Degree in Journalism from the Ernie Pyle School of Journalism at Indiana University Bloomington in 1998. He is also a member of the Sigma Chi Fraternity.
