A school is still looking for answers after losing a student and a bus driver in a crash earlier this week.

Indianapolis Lighthouse Charter School said in a statement Friday that they have met with the company that owned and operated the bus, Miller Transportation, this week.

According to the statement released by Lighthouse, “neither Miller Transportation nor we know what caused the accident on Monday. We will review our procedures to see if there is anything we need to change going forward.”

Five-year-old Donasty Smith and bus driver Thomas Spencer both died when the bus hit a concrete support pillar on a southeas tside bridge. A total of 26 students were on that bus. Ten were taken to the hospital and two were seriously hurt.

The services for Donasty are set for Saturday at Eastside Missionary Baptist Church. The viewing is set for 9:00 a.m. with the funeral to follow at 11:00 a.m.
