Noblesville police arrested a man following a reported triple stabbing late Monday night.

A woman made the call to 911 around 11:30 p.m. She said someone had been held against their will for seven hours in a neighboring house at 530 1/2 Pleasant Street.

Police still haven’t confirmed the hostage claim, but say they did find two injured men at the home and another man nearby, all suffering from stab wounds.

The injured men went to Riverview Hospital for treatment and left the facility Tuesday morning. Police questioned everyone involved, arresting Corey L. Smith, 24, Noblesville, on a charge of battery with a deadly weapon, a class ā€œCā€™ felony.

Police identified the victims as Steve W. Everett, 38, and David W. Forbush, 42. Both are from Noblesville.

Police are still collecting evidence and have not released the motive behind the incident or why they arrested Smith. Neighbors tell Fox59 that police have been called to that house in the past.
