A local couple wakes up to find a burglar standing over their bed. It happened on 53rd street, just off Michigan on the northwest side.

Police said Jack Davis broke in and made himself at home.

The homeowners say Davis was watching TV and cooking a pizza. He also ate some of the M&M’s and even cut himself a slice of pie, they said.

After all of that, Davis also reportedly went through their clothes, took their money and their IDs.

Bob Gaertner got tired of his shenanigans and sprang into action.

“I’m just trying to keep him busy and get him out of my house and just picked him up through here, through this door. Then, I remember slamming him into the sink area,” said Gaertner.

Davis was arrested after police had to stun him. He has been charged with burglary, theft, resisting law enforcement and criminal trespass.
