Indy Snow Force is calling in 118 drivers late Christmas Day in preparation for a winter storm.

Officials announced the drivers will report for duty at 11 p.m. They will work 12-hour shifts to ensure the roads will be drivable.

The storm is expected to drop between 4-8″ of snow. If Indiana sees more than six inches of snow, contractors will be called in to plow residential areas.

Crews are expected to drop salt on more than 6,000 miles of main thoroughfares and secondary streets.
