INDIANAPOLIS – A juvenile was arrested Thursday afternoon after authorities said the suspect crashed a vehicle that was reported stolen into a garage on the city’s west side.
Officers initiated a short pursuit on the Chevrolet Cavalier but called the chase off due to icy road conditions.

The driver, unaware that the chase had been called off, continued speeding through a neighborhood and lost control. The car crashed into a garage, causing damage to the structure, as well as the 2012 Dodge minivan parked in the driveway.

The Indianapolis Fire Department Structural Collapse Team arrived and evacuated the house in the 1800 block of Warman Ave. Nobody was home at the time of the incident and there were no injuries reported.

Battalion Chief Kevin Witt estimated damage from the accident to total approximately $8,000.

if people would only control these kids from the start then we wouldn't have to deal with this foolishness. The apple don't fall far from the tree!

Alot of the parents start in the church, but leave because they don't wannna change, and talk bad about the church which gives the children an escape route to not learning the right way to live.

luckily this kid didn't hurt anyone during his "run" and now will take this opportunity to turn his life around, not many get a second chance.

I think the most unfortunate thing in this situation is that he hit the corner of the garage instead of the corner of the house displaying "Lil Purp".

So the chase was called of. Since this was a stolen car, had the little punk been a better driver, he would have gotten away with it. He would then be armed with the knowledge that all he has to do is drive fast enough, and the Police will let him go. Ridiculous.

Engaging Police in Pursuit- 1 year Mandatory Minimum jail time
Pursuit with ANY (including the perp) injury- 10 years Minimum
Pursuit ending in death- Life in Prison. No Parole.

    Make these idiots think twice.

Now that the perp is in custody, part of his sentence should be what he so richly deserves (and probably yearns for) but most likely seldom go: A good ole fashioned azz whipping and grounding to a jail cell for a month to think about his choices.
