INDIANAPOLIS  – A 15-year run at the Indianapolis Colts complex has come to an end for Tom Telesco. Now, he’s headed west for a new step in his career.

The Colts vice president of football operations was named the general manager of the San Diego Chargers by the team Wednesday afternoon.

Telesco was in his first season in that role in Indianapolis and now heads to California where he will be in charge of hiring a new coach and helping to turn around the 7-9 Chargers.

Before his promotion to vice president of football operations, Telesco was the director of player personnel, a job he held from 2006-2011. In previous seasons, he was the director of pro scouting, pro and area scout.

Congratulations to Tom !! Just like the team, next man up. Between Jim Irsay and Ryan Grigson, I am sure that they will find someone, probably already within the organization, to fill Toms' shoes. The good thing is that you know the Colts have put together a great organization when other teams come looking for your employees. Ryan will do what is necessary to replace Tom and Bruce Arians if he also moves on. Great season and MANY more to come !!
