Bruce Arians is finally back home in Indianapolis after a couple of hospital visits related to an inner ear infection. With the Colts season concluded, and Arians feeling better, he now will begin talking with teams around the NFL with head coaching openings.
Tom Telesco was hired by the San Diego Chargers Wednesday to be the teams’ general manager. Telesco’s first order of business is finding a head coach. That connection to Bruce Arians has many speculating that Arians could be the most logical choice to take over for Norv Turner in San Diego.
Arians spoke about that and a number of other topics with San Diego radio station, “The Mighty 1090” Thursday.
When asked by hosts Scott & BR about his desire to get this process done quicky, Arians responded, “Yeah, extremely quickly. If it’s gonna happen I’d like to have it done before next Friday.”
Arians confirmed the only interview he has officially scheduled is with the Bears on Sunday but that three other teams have filed paperwork to speak with him but have not scheduled anything yet.
Arians led the Colts to a 9-3 record while serving as interim head coach while Chuck Pagano was undergoing cancer treatments.
