The Fishers Department of Public Works is on standby today as weather forecasts estimate two to three inches of possible rainfall over the next 24 hours.

“We will remain on standby today and have all preparations in place in case the amounts of rain are significant and roads in Fishers are affected,” said Fishers Town Manager Scott Fadness.

Public Works has staged barricades at all typical flooding locations and message boards are ready to alert motorist of any flooding.  Crews will periodically monitor creek water levels and staff will remain on call.

No flooding had been reported by 8 Saturday evening.
