Redevelopment of an abandoned gas station is a step closer to happening.

Wednesday, the Metropolitan Development Commission approved plans to put a combination gas station and Dairy Queen at the corner of 91st and Meridian Streets on the far north side.

Even though the site has been an eyesore for years, the Nora Northside Community Council objected to the plans. They want to keep businesses closer to 96th street.

The issue will have to be approved by the full City-County Council before a groundbreaking can be held.

Let them build it. The Nora Community Council are a bunch of bullies! They should be happy the eye sore that the abandoned building created will be gone!
