Tax collectors are calling on a popular amusement park in White County. Indiana Beach owes roughly $347,000 in property and innkeeper’s taxes.

According to the Lafayette Journal and Courier Newspaper, the innkeeper’s fees partly go toward promoting the area’s tourism industry.

Despite the huge bill, Indiana Beach is expected to open for the season this spring.

The reason it has slowed down is because a company in New
York bought it and made changes. This was one place you could go and it was like the fiftys. Quite a few people vacationed there as children and took their children and grandchildren there. Quite a tradition.
