Police have confirmed the identity of the woman killed in a house fire Tuesday night.

Tina Klare, 66, was killed after a duplex just west of State Road 9 caught fire.  Authorities said she was found inside the home, just feet away from the patio door.

Klare’s granddaughter was also in the home at the time of the fire.  She was flown to Peyton Manning Children’s Hospital in serious condition due to smoke inhalation.

According to property manager Robin Roberts, the tenant, who is Klare’s sister, came home and discovered a chair was on fire.  The fire quickly spread to the rest of the duplex.

The family’s dog was also killed in the fire.

The cause of the fire is still being investigated.
