Dog saved from house fire

Indianapolis Fire Department firefighters rescued a dog, named Diesel from a house fire on Saturday afternoon.

When firefighters arrived at the home in the 3700 block of Ruckle Street, they found smoke coming from the second story.

Fire officials say they found the dog hiding in the basement of the home, uninjured.

No one was at home at the time of the fire.

The cause of the fire is still being investigated.
