kids are stupid these days. Did she think she could do such a thing in a court of law and get away with it with no repercussions?

  • Mr. BR

While it might be stupid on her part, I would consider it protected by the First Amendment. Also, what harm did she really cause? Absolutely none. I flip the bird to our current tyrants on a daily basis.

    • RedStateVet

1st amendment? Not in a courtroom. If these thugs & thugettes were allowed to run wild in the courts, they'd be even less effective than they are now. The Judge should have giver her 6 months. What you do in pubic has no bearing on the appropriate behavior in a courtroom.

      >what harm did she really cause?

Well, for starters, she disrespected the court and its administrating body.

Secondly, she disrespected an elder and her clear better.

      Shall I go on?

    • RWL

I'm not surprised that kids today think that it is ok to disrespect any athority with parents that have the same attitude as you. It is NOT ok to "flip the bird" to anyone. She should have gotten 6 months.

  • PMRmeansit

    I agree with RedStateVet!
I saw that story and was INSTANTLY glad she wasn't one of mine (well, would not have been because I raised mine better than that) because if she was, I would whoop her ___ once she was done serving her 30 day sentence!!

  • ClanSmokeJaguar

lol…look at the expression on her stupid face!

I beleive the judge was way too soft! I would've given her 6 months, a fine, and revoked her bail. Maybe six months of being Big Bertha's personal sock puppet in the sack would make her rethink her life.

  • squaw833

Maybe I missed something but WHY did the judge go from 5,000 to 10,000 bail? I was glad she got the 30 days – I bet she doesn't disrespect another judge

    • RWL

The increase was for continuing to laugh at this hearing and not taking it serious. It Cost taxpayers every time these drug abusers find themselves in court. Not a laughing matter.

  • Luke

I am not understanding this… What crime did she commit? Giving someone the finger may be wrong (and in this case since it was a judge it's kind of funny) But it def is not a crime. What ever happened to Freedom of Speech? She has the right to express herself in any fashion as long as she doesn't break the law, WHAT LAW DID SHE BREAK?
