Today will be cool with highs in the mid to upper 30s and plenty of clouds around.  I think there will be some peaks of sunshine this afternoon but overall the day will be cloudy.  Thursday we get a preview of milder weather as temperatures head up just ahead of a surface low that will bring us our next chance of winter weather.  Thursday night rain will turn over to winter weather Friday morning just ahead of the morning rush.  Rain, snow, sleet, and freezing rain will all be possible as this system passes through.

Focusing on the winter weather part of the next system, most models don’t put down much of the hazardous stuff done with total precipitation on 2 of the 3 main models of just .01 during the time where we could see some sleet, freezing rain and snow.  The Euro on the other hand puts down 0.11 inches of mixed precipitation Friday morning.  That could equal 1 inch of snow.  It likely will result in some ice put down in the way of sleet and freezing rain followed by some flurries.  Once again it doesn’t look like a lot, but following a brief round of rain this could be falling on untreated roads.  That could make for a mess.

Milder weather arrives this weekend.  Saturday highs will be in the upper 30s with 40s likely for Sunday.  The mild weather may stick around for the rest of the week with forecast highs in the 40s all the way through next Wednesday.  Enjoy it!
