INDIANAPOLIS — Metro Police responded to a north side drug store early Wednesday morning investigating reports of an armed robbery.

Dispatchers received a call of an armed robbery at the CVS Pharmacy located at West 86th Street & Ditch Road around 1 a.m.

Police said two men dressed in black robbed the pharmacy at gunpoint, filling a black mesh clothes hamper with prescription drugs.

They fled the scene, driving away in a pickup truck.

Officers searching for the suspects located them near West 79th Street and Harcout Road, about a mile south of the store.

Officers attempted to pull the vehicle over, but it sped off leading police on a chase east on Westland Road, south on Spring Mill, west on Kessler Blvd. West Drive to 56th Street before ending in Hendricks County near West 56th Street and Raceway Road.

Two suspects inside the vehicle were taken into custody with the assistance of police K9 officers.

More idiots running from the Police. Here are some new "common sense" guidelines that should be enacted immediately:

Engaging in a Pursuit- Mandatory 1 Year in addition to any other chargers, no time off for "good behavior" (applicable in this case)
Engaging in a Pursuit resulting in injury to any party (including the perp)- Mandatory 10 Year Minimum in addition to any other charges, no time off for good behavior.
Engaging in a Pursuit resulting in death- Life without the possibly of parole.

After a couple of convictions, maybe the word will get out, and these brain dead thugs will realize that running from the police and endangering the public is just not worth it.
