Plainfield police investigate apartment complex shooting

PLAINFIELD, IND., — Police are investigating a shooting that sent one person to the hospital Wednesday night.

Plainfield police officers responded to the 4200 block of Wolcott Drive, in the Saratoga Crossing Apartment Complex, around 8 p.m. to investigate reports of shots fired.

When they arrived, the victim was not there. They later found out someone transported him to Hendricks Regional Health. The victim was later transported to IU Health Methodist Hospital for further treatment.

Plainfield police PIO Jill Lees told Fox59 detectives are questioning a group of people seen leaving the scene. A motive for the crime, the identity of the person shot, and his condition have not been released.
