LEBANON— A Lebanon man was arrested on multiple charges after he allegedly kicked and spat blood on officers during his arrest early Saturday morning.

Gary Hensley, 43, was being arrested on theft charges, when police said he began to resist them.

Authorities responded to a local tavern to arrest Hensley, who sustained cuts and abrasions to his face as he tried to fight the police officers.

The Boone County Sheriff’s Department said it took about seven officers to detain Hensley and place him into handcuffs.
