Oh please, there have been rape scandals, drug problems and students busted for bringing guns in Carmel High school over the years yet you never hear about that, why? Because they're a bunch of rich kids white kids, isn't that a "shocker." People like to slam poor, disadvantaged school districts like IPS and yet never do anything to fix the obvious social and economic problems facing these schools, so do us all a favor get of your pretentious pedestal.

I didn't mention race…why bring up the race card? I merely mentioned that I wasn't shock that this occurred at Tech. BTW, I'm not white, but don't let facts get in your way of making presumptuous comments Brandon.

Well obviously the scandals at Carmel have gotten press or else you wouldn't have heard about them. Plus the extra exposure to this school may prompt government officials to pay more attention to IPS schools and do something about it. Your ignorance is uncalled for.

You know what's funny is that Tech has national honor society members, scholarship award winners (and not just for athletics), and graduates a higher percentages than some township schools. But none of that gets any press! Why not? Oh, because it's IPS and bad news sells. Sad.

I am a tech student. I honestly can’t begin to talk about this fight. I believe that the only reason we got on the news is because everyone thinks we ‘tech students’ are a bunch of hellish brats that walk around looking for a fight. That is not the case. Now I speak for myself when I say most of the students here are smart, helpful, kind, and hard workers. I,myself am proud to be a tech student. I don’t care if that means I’m giving myself a bad rep. I know who I am, I know what I stand for. I know the truth. If no one else wants to see it.
