A new downtown building could soon go up at the corner of Meridian and Washington Streets.

According to our partners at the Indianapolis Business Journal, a local developer has filed this plan with the city.

The 2.5-story building would house a restaurant on the ground floor, with office space above it. It’s not clear what restaurant might fill that space.

Developers hope to begin construction by this April.
