INDIANAPOLIS – The teenagers at the center of a crime spree that swept through the city Wednesday are currently incarcerated as prosecutors prepare to file charges.

Fox59 has learned that the 17-year-old suspect is out of the hospital and in juvenile detention. No initial court appearance has been scheduled, but investigators anticipate that he’ll be charged as an adult.

The 15-year-old old accused in the crimes was expected to appear in Marion County Juvenile Court Friday afternoon. A motion was filed for a continuance. The 15 year old is currently in juvenile detention.

Both were arrested Wednesday on a preliminary charge in connection with the robbery of a woman on the south side. Police have not charged them in other crimes although investigators said Thursday that the teens were suspects in the shooting death of John Yingling and other crimes.

The search for the two teenagers resulted in a police chase that ended in a crash involving multiple vehicles.
