The driver who hit a 7-year-old with a blue truck is cooperating with police.
The accident happened at 21st Street and Emerson Avenue just before 6 p.m. Tuesday.
Officials said the driver remained on the scene and did not flee.
The child suffered “slight injuries” and is expected to recover.
The crash remains under investigation.
