The Indiana Department of Transportation has closed Indiana 42 in two places because of flooding.

The closures will stay in effect until the waters recede on the following roads in the Crawfordsville District:

  • Morgan County – State Road 42 between State Road 142 and Little Point
  • Putnam County – State Road 42 six miles east of U.S. 231

INDOT reminds drivers to be aware of road conditions and avoid driving through standing waters. Just six inches is enough to stall cars.
