Fifteen Indianapolis Public Schools (IPS) students were evaluated Wednesday morning after their school bus filled with fire extinguisher smoke.
The incident occurred on the city’s northwest side at 62nd Street and Lafayette Road around 7:45 a.m.
Authorities said the fire extinguisher accidentally went off, and the bus driver was the most impacted by the incident.
A Pike Township school bus later arrived to the scene to assist in transporting the children, who are students at Indiana Math and Science Academy.
