Indianapolis man taken into custody after crashing into apartment building

An Indianapolis man has been taken into custody after crashing into an apartment building.

The accident happened at the Forest Ridge Apartments just after 7:30 p.m. Monday.

Police said Terry Rowe, 53, was heading west on Wheatgrass Way when he left the roadway and crashed into the apartment.

Three apartments had to be evacuated. No injuries were reported.

Police haven’t released why they took Rowe into custody.

Damages are estimated at $50,000. The accident remains under investigation.
