INDIANAPOLIS – The Indiana Pacers announced that Danny Granger will not play in Wednesday night’s game against the Boston Celtics.

Granger recently returned from an injury to his left knee and has seen limited action since coming back this season. In a statement, the team said Granger’s knee is still sore, although an MRI showed no new damage.

The statement said Granger decided to sit out Wednesday’s game after talking to team medical personnel. He will continue to rest and receive treatments for his knee.

The team will reevaluate Granger in a week.

Granger missed the first 55 games of the year before returning on Feb. 23.
