INDIANAPOLIS – Authorities have identified the man whose body was found in White River Tuesday.

The Marion County Coroner confirms that the remains were those of Robert Stiger, who disappeared on Jan. 17 after falling into Fall Creek. Investigators said Stiger had been arguing with his girlfriend at a nearby Taco Bell. The argument caused Stiger to get out of the car he was riding in on Indiana Avenue. Friends tried to convince him to come back before he went over the bridge railing and either slipped or jumped into Fall Creek.

A construction worker spotted the remains Tuesday afternoon. Investigators said they believed the remains were those of Stiger, although they couldn’t confirm it until Wednesday’s autopsy.

Its kind of sad that this young man had so many problems that the only way to solve them was to whack himself. I feel bad for his Mama…

The report states that his friends are NOT sure if he slipped or fell. Don't go saying he committed suicide without actually knowing for sure which none of us can. I too feel for his family and friends. RIP Robert Stiger.
