A bill cracking down on synthetic drugs cleared another hurdle in the General Assembly Wednesday.

A House committee unanimously passed the bill, which would make it illegal to sell synthetic drugs or anything that could be perceived to be a synthetic drug.

There’s been a lot of discussion about that language in the bill, and whether it would hold up in court.

The bill already passed the state Senate, and there’s a similar bill that’s passed the House, which is now being heard by Senate lawmakers.
