Police seek help from public in identifying man wanted for rape

The Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department is asking for the public’s help in identifying a man wanted for rape.

Police said the man approached a woman in the 900 block of North Concord Street, located on the city’s near west side, on the evening of July 15.  The victim reported the man was armed with a revolver and forced her into a house, where he raped her.

The man is described to be a black male with gray hair cut in a fade. He also had a goatee, a gold front tooth and the letters “SC” tattooed on the right side of his neck.
