An officer with the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department was injured when he was rear-ended by an alleged drunk driver early Monday morning.
The accident occurred at the intersection of 38th Street and Moeller Road around 3:30 a.m. Police said the officer was investigating an accident in the area, when the police cruiser he was in was struck by another vehicle.
The driver of the other vehicle, 40-year-old Ignacio Alvarado, was arrested and preliminarily charged with driving while under the influence, driving with a suspended license, resisting law enforcement and reckless driving.
The officer was transported to an area hospital due to complaints of pain. He has since been released.

I got rear ended by dumb azz drivers several times and when the po-po were called, no one was arrested.

Well, that should tell you something. Chances are this guy was drunk, high, or wanted on a warrant.
