BEECH GROVE – Beech Grove police released a sketch of a man wanted in connection with a home invasion robbery in January.

Around 8:30 a.m. on Jan. 17, the man knocked on a homeowner’s door to ask for directions in Beech Grove’s Carrington subdivision. While the homeowner tried to help, the man forced his way into the home and said he had a gun. He pressed an object against the homeowner’s back and rummaged through the house. After taking some cash, he left in a small, rust-covered blue vehicle with a loud engine or exhaust.

The homeowner described the thief as 5’7” to 5’8” and between 170 and 185 pounds. He had dark hair and a distinct dimple or indentation on his forehead.
