Some Purdue employees will get raises after all. The school has tweaked its plan to help cope with a two-year tuition freeze.

Under the new plan, employees can participate in a 1 percent raise pool.

Faculty members still have the option to forgo a raise for one year. They can also make a one-time donation to the student affordability and accessibility fund.

That fund will replace the money Purdue would have collected had it increased tuition.
