Severe Thunderstorm Warning issued for several Indiana counties

CARROLL COUNTY, IND. — Carroll County Sheriff’s Deputies investigated a single-vehicle crash overnight.

Deputies responded to State Road 75 near County Road 485 South in Cutler, Ind. around 11:30 p.m. Monday.

Once on scene they found a Mazda passenger car that appeared to have rolled several times, ejecting the driver from the rear window.

The driver is identified as Tara Griffin, 20 of Lafayette. Medics transported her to IU Health Arnett Hospital.

Witnesses told police Griffin passed their vehicle about a mile and a half before the crash site. They estimated the vehicle’s speed at 90 to 100 mph.

Deputies are still looking into the exact cause of the crash and have not ruled out alcohol involvement. Blood test results are still pending.
