One player for the Indianapolis Colts has donated $5000 to the Boone County Sheriff’s Department, to be added to a reward fund. The reward is for any information that leads to the arrest of a hit-and-run suspect.
The hit-and-run happened on November 25, 2012. 78-year-old Anita Wersing was walking home from church on SR 267 when she was hit by a dark colored SUV.
Private donors are also offering a $10,000 reward to anyone with information. Along with the original Crime Stoppers reward, the total is up to $16,000.
“Our thanks go out to Mr. Irsay and the Indianapolis Colts players. They continue to show what commitment they have to the Indiana communities. We hope this motivates someone to send information to our Investigators” says Boone County Sheriff Ken Campbell.
