Power outages in Zionsville

Over 3000 Zionsville area residents are without power, according to Duke Energy. They are working on restoring power for residents, officials with Duke Energy say the power outage was due to a raccoon that got into a substation in Zionsville.

The power outage started around 12:30 Sunday afternoon and officials say power should be restored by 4:30.

To report a power outage to Duke Energy, call 1-800-343-3525.

The Boone County Sheriff’s Department asks residents not to call 911 unless you have an emergency. They would also like to remind you to treat all traffic signals as four-way stops.
