Person shot at west side apartment complex

INDIANAPOLIS — Metro Police investigated a shooting on the city’s west side late Wednesday night.

Officers responded to the 6300 block of Mission Terrace, north of West 38th Street and North High School Road, around 10:45 p.m.

They couldn’t find anyone shot at the dispatched address, however officers found a 23-year-old male suffering from a gunshot wound to his abdomen a short distance away.

Medics transported the victim to Wishard Hospital.
