INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. — A former Indianapolis Public Schools assistant principal was sentenced Friday for having an inappropriate relationship with a 16-year-old female student.

Corey Greenwood, 41, was sentenced to serve 2,140 days of probation and a no contact order was issued between him and the minor.

Greenwood pleaded guilty in April to child seduction and obstruction of justice. Authorities said Greenwood sent the student more than 1,400 text messages, several of them explicit.

Greenwood resigned from Washington High School last year.
