Hit-and-run victim dies, police hunt for SUV

A man hit by an SUV on his bicycle Saturday night has succumbed to his injuries.

The victim has been identified as 52-year-old Indianapolis man, Earmon “Bud” Hubbard III.

Hubard was riding his bike southbound on North Emerson Avenue when he was hit from behind by an SUV. That vehicle then drove away.

Hubbard was rushed to Wishard hospital from the scene, in critical condition. He later died at the hospital.

Investigators are looking for an older model green SUV with front-end damage.

ORIGINAL: Indianapolis Metro Police are investigating a hit and run accident that happened near 30th and Emerson Avenue just before 10 p.m. Saturday.

Police are looking for a dark green, Chevrolet Blazer with front end damage.

The pedestrian who was struck by was taken to Wishard hospital in unknown condition.
