Wonderful weather for a long run today. Good luck runners!

Not expecting to see any rain for today’s Mini Marathon.  A check of radar this morning shows rain well off to our west in parts of Illinois.  Rain chances for the past couple of days have slowly dried up for this weekend as it became clear a cut off low was going to slide well to our south.

Overall temperatures this morning are hovering around 60 degrees and the starting time temperature should be just shy of 60 degrees.  Unlike last year, when we saw humid conditions on race day, this year will see more comfortable temperatures throughout the race.  Last year’s daily high hit the 80s on race day and many runners were treated for heat exhaustion as high humidity levels made it tough for runners to keep cool. Temps will likely be in the low 60s to possible the mid-60s as you’re completing the race today.  Winds will be light and clouds will ensure you don’t see any sunshine.  Good luck to all runners.
