Call it a last-second Hail Mary for the Blue Crew Sports Grill.

After saying last week that the north side spot on 96th Street would have to close down, owner Randy Collins said Monday that the restaurant would reopen thanks to help from Colts owner Jim Irsay.

Irsay tweeted Monday afternoon that Blue Crew Sports Grill would reopen:

The Blue Crew’s Facebook page confirmed the news in the following post:

The Blue Crew family is happy to announce we’re opening back up for business at 4pm today!!! Come by and have a beer with us.

It goes without saying that we owe a huge debt of gratitude to Jim Irsay and the Colts organization for helping us stay open. I’m not sure how we could love our Colts any more than we already did, but somehow today, we do. And thank you to everyone who sent us notes of encouragement and support over the last five days. We love our Colts fans too!!!

See you soon….

On that same page last week, Collins wrote that the doors were locked and the business would shut down because he’d fallen behind on rent.
